Text Messaging (SMS) Terms
Effective Date: June 24, 2026
These Messaging Terms describe the text-message (SMS) program operated by Empower Mental Health (“Empower,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) and the consent you provide when you give us your mobile number. By providing your mobile number and opting in, you agree to these Messaging Terms, our Terms of Service, and our Privacy Policy.
1. Program Description
Empower sends transactional, account-related text messages to individuals who have an existing relationship with us and have provided their mobile number. Messages may include appointment reminders and scheduling updates, one-time verification and login security codes (two-factor authentication), and account and care notifications. Job applicants who opt in may also receive updates about their job application. We do not send marketing or promotional text messages.
2. How You Opt In
You opt in to receive text messages by providing your mobile number and agreeing to receive SMS at the point of collection — for example, during patient registration or intake, when enabling two-factor authentication, or on a job application — or by texting a start keyword to our number. We send messages only to numbers for which we have received this consent.
Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of receiving care or of any purchase.
3. Message Frequency and Cost
Message frequency varies based on your activity and interactions with us. Message and data rates may apply according to your mobile carrier plan. Empower does not charge for the messages themselves.
4. Opt-Out and Help
You can cancel the SMS service at any time by replying STOP to any message. After you send STOP, we will send a one-time confirmation and will stop sending text messages to that number. You may continue to receive communications through other channels (such as email) where applicable.
For help, reply HELP, call 602-730-5307, or email clinicalsupport@empowermh.co.
5. Supported Carriers
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Message delivery is subject to effective transmission from your wireless service provider and is outside of Empower’s control.
6. Privacy and Your Mobile Information
We handle your mobile number and message content in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We do not share your mobile information or SMS opt-in consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. We share it only with the service providers (such as our messaging provider) that help us deliver these messages, under written agreements.
7. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Messaging Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Effective Date” above. Your continued participation in the SMS program after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Messaging Terms.
